25/1/2010 - Nviron announces its strategic partnership with VirtenSys for next generation I/O virtualisation. Reducing power consumption and I/O complexity are now key drivers for data centre managers. The VirtenSys virtual I/O switch addresses both these issues and is set to drive a sea change in how large data centres engineer their I/O. "We are delighted to bring this technology to our IP SAN customer base as they begin the upgrade to 10gb Ethernet working. Establishing virtualised I/O is a cornerstone of Nviron's 10gb Ethernet reference architecture".
