Tape backups also tend to be disruptive and take a long time. That is why Nviron offers an offsite backup solution that overcomes all the problems normally associated with tape backups as well as offering a cost-effective method of backup for organisations with no backup strategy.
When we discuss offsite backups we use two measures to describe the solution:
- Recovery Point Objective (RPO) – point at which the recovered data is when restored.
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO) – time it takes to recover the system
